Vierwaldstättersee: aka Lake Lucerne

A favorite place to take visitors to Switzerland is Lucerne and then up Rigi. We went to Rigi in 2015. You can read the post here. My sister and brother-in-law were visiting, and the weather was finally warm. We were happy to return.

The first part of the journey is a train ride to Lucerne. We enjoyed the covered bridge while waiting for our boat.

The steamboat we rode is in the distance. Unfortunately, that is the only picture I got of the boat. When we arrived at the dock, we had to hurry to find a place to sit. On such a beautiful day, many people were on board. When we disembarked, we had to hurry to find a place on the train – no time to turn around for a shot.
